As I read this article in the Press, I could not but think how a new broom should sweep clean. Instead, it appears the dirt is being sweep back into the house. As the new County Executive gets her administration in order, I am surprised at the number of local political names getting key posts. I am sure that all of the appointees have good resume’s and have been dedicated to Broome County, but really, are these the best people? May be I got it wrong. The job ahead for Ms Preston is going to be a tough one and having the same political names around doesn’t really give the appearance of confidence to the public, in my view.
